The main aim of the design was to reconsider the concept of the open plan and make it a more inclusive strategy rather than a single boundary intervention. This was achieved through a number of ways. Primarily, flexibility was added to the plan through the use of transformable boundaries such as rotational panels and movable fabrics. By shifting those, one can transform the apartments from single space lofts to more conventional compartmentalized flats. Moreover, spaces are implied by material changes and programmatic centricities are linked through formalistic relations, manifested by continuous material designs. These techniques help offer an alternative users manual to the space which is not as austere as solid boundaries are.
